JenniferJennifer Grey (born March 26 1959) is an American actress from the United States. She made her acting debut in the film Reckless (1984) and made her breakthrough in the teenager-oriented comedy film Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). The actress gained worldwide recognition for her role as Frances Houseman in the romantic drama film Dirty Dancing (1987), which brought her an Golden Globe Award nomination. Other feature films she has appeared in include Red Dawn (1984), The Cotton Club (1984), Bloodhounds of Broadway (1989), Bounce (2000), Redbelt (2008), The Wind Rises (2013), In Your Eyes (2014), Duck Duck Goose (2018), and Bittersweet Symphony (2019). Grey's work on television started with Murder in Mississippi (1990), Criminal Justice (1989) and If the Shoe Fits (2019). She also appeared in the role of Kelly Carter in the comedy Red Oaks on Amazon Prime Video. Grey has voiced both television and film and voiced the film of the year Duck Duck Goose and the animated television show Phineas and Ferb, which she created in 2008.
