Kari Samantha (born on April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is an American actress and performer. Her career began when she was a teenager and is best known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a auto salesman. She has been blessed with three brothers. As a teenager, she was a singer who performed in clubs, escaping from home to do so. After studying acting at the Wooster School from 13 years old, she studied drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. She was born in Brookfield Connecticut on April 28, she was raised there.
