Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on thanks to her inventive and innovative imagination. Prior to learning how to read and write Dolly Parton was composing her own music. Her first guitar purchase came at age 8 and started performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age eleven. Her first album was recorded within the same calendar year with Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. Even though she was still at school, she already made a name of herself on the local scene. However, her goal was to to perform at a much bigger size. She moved to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart at the top of Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated show on TV at the time, was in search for a female singer for his show. Parton joined RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She accepted her job in 1967. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, however, in 1974 due to her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Love You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the top of the. number 1 position after the duo split. 1. for the first time since 1974.
